Trump congratulates scientists on AIDS vaccine… that doesn't exist



Donald Trump is not known for his great scientific rigor. The American president, who recently advocated the use of disinfectant or UV to treat patients with Covid-19, has shown Tuesday for the less hazardous about another virus, that of AIDS.

At a press conference in the White House gardens, he praised the work of American scientists and doctors who are currently working on a vaccine to fight the coronavirus. 

And to attribute to these eminent specialists a discovery that they have unfortunately not - yet - made: "They have developed the AIDS vaccine. However, for the moment, there is no such vaccine.

And to attribute to these eminent specialists a discovery that they have unfortunately not - yet - made: "They have developed the AIDS vaccine. However, for the moment, there is no such vaccine.

Donald Trump obviously noticed his mistake, because he then stammered and alluded to triple therapy. "Or ... AIDS ... As you know, there are different things and now different societies are involved ... But AIDS therapy ... AIDS was a death sentence, and now people are living a life with a pill. It is an incredible thing.
